Frequently Asked Questions

How do we know if it’s time for in-home care?

It’s often time to consider extra support if you notice your loved one struggling with "Activities of Daily Living" (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, or managing medications. Other signs include frequent falls, skipped meals, or social isolation. We offer a free consultation to help you assess their needs objectively.

What is the first step to starting care with Alora?

The process begins with a simple phone consultation. We’ll discuss your family member’s routine, medical needs, and personality. From there, our Care Coordinator visits the home to create a Tailored Service Plan and match you with the right caregiver.

Are your caregivers trained and insured?

Yes. Every Alora caregiver undergoes a rigorous screening process, including background checks and specialized training. We are fully licensed, bonded, and insured to give your family complete peace of mind.

What happens if our regular caregiver is sick?

We know consistency is vital. If your primary caregiver is unavailable, we have a backup team ready to step in. We ensure any substitute is fully briefed on your loved one’s Care Plan so there is no disruption in support.

Can we change our care schedule if needs change?

Absolutely. Care needs are rarely static. Whether you need to increase hours after a hospital stay or decrease them as a loved one recovers, we offer flexible scheduling to adapt to your family’s reality.

How much does in-home care cost?

Costs vary based on the level of care required and the number of hours scheduled. During our initial consultation, we provide a transparent cost estimate with no hidden fees, so you can plan your budget with confidence.

Does Alora Care at Home provide medical services?

We focus on non-medical home care, which includes companionship, personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. If your loved one requires clinical medical treatment (like injections or wound care), we can coordinate with your home health or hospice provider.

Do you provide care in assisted living facilities?

Yes. We can provide one-on-one supplemental care for seniors living in assisted living or retirement communities who need more personalized attention than the facility staff can provide.

Is Alora Care at Home Licensed, Insured & Bonded?

Yes. Our HCO License # is 014700265.
